WORKSHOP CANCELLED
This half-day workshop will identify business case opportunities and cost savings associated with addressing carbon and environmental process improvements. Led by expert and Alberta food industry partner Brett Wills of Green Enterprise Movement, through coaching and tangible lean & green (L&G) examples, participants will:
Understand the details surrounding the new Carbon Levy
Discuss as a group the potential business impacts that have occurred as a result of the Carbon Levy implementation
Identify related areas of opportunity that generate worker productivity and environmental process improvements, including: sustainable business solutions, waste/water reduction, energy efficiency, employee engagement
Identify how environmental performance increases industry competitiveness
Learn about specific opportunities and quick wins related to L&G and carbon reduction

About our Presentor:
Brett Wills brings over 15 years of experience in Sustainable Business Management and as a former Plant Manager, has first-hand experience developing and executing strategies to drive organizational performance. As President of the Green Enterprise Movement and Director of Sustainability for High Performance Solutions Inc., Brett now spends a majority of his time helping organizations accelerate organizational performance through a focus on the three dimensions of Sustainability. Brett has spent a considerable amount of time working with food processors across Canada.
Brett has over eight years of experience leading and facilitating environmental and sustainability focused Consortiums, including developing and leading a Sustainability Collaborative in Toronto for the past years.
As Professor of Green Business Management at Seneca College in Toronto, Brett teaches Eco-Productivity in the Workplace and is helping to prepare the next wave of Business Change Agents to enter the workforce. Brett is the author of Green Intentions: Creating a Green Value Stream to Compete and Win(2009) and Purposely Profitable: Embedding Sustainability into the DNA of Food Processing and Other Businesses(2016)." .”
